Flat Green Bowling Club Tom Keenan Club days: Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday 2pm for 2.15pm prompt Venue: Isle of Man Flat Green Bowling Club, Onchan Park. Lawn bowls is a sport that can be played by all age groups, and both men and women can compete together. It provides gentle anaerobic exercise and the opportunity to make new friends. New players will be made most welcome, whatever your experience. |

Groudle Glen Railway Volunteers Contact: Mr R. Booth The volunteers were founded to restore the steam railway in Groudle Glen. The original railway opened in 1896 and closed in 1962. Restoration began in 1982 with the first section of line reopened in 1986. Work parties take place at weekends during the off season and the train runs in the summer and at Christmas |

Onchan Live at Home SchemeContact Mrs Jane Sloane, The Live at Home Scheme provides volunteer visitors to befriend and support elderly people within their own homes so they do not become isolated or lonely. Manx Wildlife Trust Contact: Tricia Sayle The trust owns and manages various wildlife sites throughout the Island. In Onchan they are responsible for The Onchan Wetlands right in the heart of the village. Local volunteers welcome to help with the maintenance by way of litter removal, pruning of saplings, clearing of ponds etc. Meets approx four times per year |
