The Christmas Lighting Trophy
The
trophy for the Christmas Lights has been engraved on glass by Malcolm Smith
of Manx Rockcraft and Celtic Engravings.
Malcolm has engraved other glass trophies for the commissioners in the
past including the reproduction of the Onchan Crest.
2007 Competition
The Christmas Lights Competition proved quite a task for the judges
this
year as more and more properties are being decorated throughout the
district. The prize winners received their trophies on Friday 21st
December.
Mr & Mrs Hunt of 53 Ashley Park were the winners of the domestic
property section. Their lights covered the house and front garden. Here
the Chairman of the Leisure and Amenities Committee, Mrs Wendy Megson
(left) and Tim Norton, Chairman of the Commissioners are photographed
after the trophy was presented.

Mrs Cartmell won the commercial property section with her extensive
display at Kerrowdhoo Farm. She received her trophy and replica
from Tim Norton Chairman of the Commissioners accompanied by Wendy
Megson the Chairman of the Leisure and Amenities Committee.
