The Christmas Lighting Trophy
The
trophy for the Christmas Lights has been engraved on glass by Malcolm Smith
of Manx Rockcraft and Celtic Engravings.
Malcolm has engraved other glass trophies for the commissioners in the
past including the reproduction of the Onchan Crest.
2005 Competition
This year's competition differed from previous competitions in so much
that Onchan was divided into 10 areas and each commissioner was allocated
an area to judge and make three nominations for the domestic properties
and list whatever commercial properties were in their area. All
these results were passed to the Chairman of the Board and the Chairman
of the Leisure and Amenities Committee for final judging.
