On 2nd July 2002 the commissioners were visited by Lady Loch,
widow of the third Lord Loch.
Her late husband's grandfather was Lieutenant Governor of the
Isle of Man 1869 - 1882 and it was he who selected to live at
Bemahague in Onchan at the beginning of his term of office.
Government House has remained there ever since.
The photograph shows Lady Loch being presented with an Onchan
crest by Commissioners' Chairman Mr Terry Black JP. In the background
is a contemporary characature of Governor Henry B. Loch.
