Manx Dyslexia Association
The Manx Dyslexia Association holds a large collection of books at Harvey Briggs Onchan Library to help with reading differences. We also stock dyslexia friendly books from Barrington Stoke alongside a wide choice of appealing titles for readers of all ages and abilities.
Online Help
Words for Life offers reading encouragement for children age 3 - 11, and for all the family too. Oxford Reading Owl is an award winning web site full of helpful advice and resources for children and their parents.
Audio
We have over 1,000 audio books available for download, and the library team are happy to help you get set up.
Large Print
There are hundreds of large print books available on the library shelves, and we do take requests. The latest authors and best sellers are published in a large print format.
Manx Blind Welfare
The Manx Blind Welfare Society are based in Corrin Court in Onchan. They have an extensive talking book library, a recording studio producing a weekly news service, and a specialist equipment service. They also provide home and hospital visits.
