Animal Agents Summer Reading Challenge!

The Animal Agents Summer Reading Challenge got off to an exciting start at the Harvey Briggs Onchan Library with a visit from The Isle of Man Constabulary Police Dog Unit. PCs Saskia Baxter and Dave Cubbon gave a great  insight into the valuable work they carry out, and Police Dog Snoopy demonstrated his special Animal Agent skills.

Right throughout the summer, children will be reading books and using their detective skills to solve puzzles as part of this national project produced by The Reading Agency. The library is supporting the Animal Agents Summer Reading Challenge aided by sponsorship from Old Mutual International for the 12th successive year.

Michael Morrison, CEO Onchan District Commissioners and James Cherry, Lead Member Properties & Amenities helped to launch the event, alongside Rebecca Nathan, Gillian Dick, and Wendy Ranft-Gerber from sponsors Old Mutual International.
