Tons of Fun!

Celebrate 80 years of the Beano comic with The Mischief Makers Summer Reading Challenge 2018! 'Mischief Makers' is a national Summer Reading Challenge presented by The Reading Agency, and sponsored by Old Mutual International in The Harvey Briggs Onchan Library. It's free to take part, and children can sign up at the library any time throughout the summer.

The Summer Reading Challenge asks 4 – 11year olds to borrow and read 6 library books of their own choice over the summer. Young readers will each receive a map of Beanotown and collect stickers to solve clues and discover hidden treasure. Children can try their luck to win goodies such as wristbands or kit bags in the Mischief Makers Lucky Dip, and those who complete the Challenge will be rewarded with a medal and certificate, and entered into a Top Prize Draw!

Children age 3 and under are not forgotten with their very own Mini Mischief Challenge to join in the fun!

Watch out for a free programme of Summer Holiday activities; take part in the hunts, and join exciting competitions to Create Characters for the Beanotown Library and Design your own Comic Strip.

There's going to be tons of fun all summer long!
