Onchan District Commissioners are pleased to sponsor a “Sit and Chat Bench” which is inspired by Compassionate IOM who aim to get the community chatting and promote simple acts of kindness.
The bench is located on Main Road, Onchan, and is distinctively decorated, so people can easily recognise it.
There is a scan code on the bench which will take people to a website full of sources for self-help.
So, next time you spot one of the benches and someone is sitting there, please say 'hello'.
