CORONAVIRUS PRECAUTIONS

The Officers and Onchan District Commissioners have been monitoring the latest developments with the Coronavirus outbreak and the ways in which the Officers can help to prevent the spread of the virus within the Authority and the service it provides.

As part of the precautionary measures, we would like to reduce the amount of cash that is exchanged in a bid to minimise the potential threat of the virus spreading to vulnerable tenants and Officers through the handling of cash.  The Bank of England has acknowledged that banknotes in circulation can hold “bacteria and viruses” and recommend that people wash their hands after handling money.

Alternative ways of paying are by telephone 675564 or through online payments

If you are unable to pay using the other available options, cash will still be welcomed via deposit of the correct amount through the Commissioners letterbox during office hours.  Please ensure it is in an envelope with your name and address clearly marked on the back of the envelope.  Please do not deposit cash in to the letterbox outside of office hours.  A receipt will be posted on request or confirmed via telephone.
