The Mythical Maze Summer Reading Challenge, a national event produced by The Reading Agency and supported in Onchan Library by Skandia
All the children taking part in this year's challenge had fun with their reading, and collected smelly stickers, maze puzzles and book bags. the finishers proudly received medals and certificates.
Local children were introduced to some of the Island's rich folklore through a programme of storytelling and themed activities, and through joining in competitions.
Andrew Jones from Skandia presented the competition winners with their prizes at Onchan Library on Thursday 18 September. He was joined by Wendy Ranft-Gerber of Skandia, Kathryn Williams Lead Member for Properties and Amenities Onchan District Commissioners, and Deputy Clerk and Library Manager Tim Craig.
