Onchan District Commissioners advise that David Quirk has publically announced that he will be standing in the forthcoming Local Election on 22nd July 2021.
Copy of his public declaration is detailed below:
"It is my intention to stand in the forthcoming local elections for Onchan District Commissioners on Thursday 22 July 2021.
I have had the privilege to represent Onchan and its Residents since October 2020. I greatly appreciate all the support that the people of Onchan have given me during the past nine months in my recent term of office.
I have always been outspoken over issues that arise and threaten our Onchan Community. I am sure that the experience and knowledge I have gained over the years, will prove invaluable again, for a future term on the Board of Onchan District Commissioners.
I always endeavour to serve the people of Onchan with integrity, honesty and accountability. I am pro-active in challenging expenditure and environmental issues, encourage community involvement and support local economic development.
Our whole community has had a difficult time during Covid. Now is the time for us to move past this and I am looking ahead, to focus on what is important to our Onchan community."
