Energy Efficiency Grant Scheme

The Energy Efficiency Scheme is designed to assist residents with their fuel bills and reduce usage of fossil fuels.

The Isle of Man Government will provide up to £1,000 towards improvements that will make your home more energy efficient, helping to lower the volume of carbon emissions used.

This can be in a number of areas, including but not limited to:

  • Thermostatic Radiator Valves
  • Loft insulation
  • LED lightbulbs
  • Water tank insulation


Advice and guidance on energy efficiency improvements can be provided by the Department of Environment, Forestry and Agricutlure on enquiry, along with further details, eligibility and next steps.

Eligible applicants:

Homeowners
Private renters (with landlord consent)
An individually assessed person earning up to £29,000
A jointly assessed couple earning up to £43,000 combined
Over 12,500 properties may be eligible for the scheme on the Island.
