PRESS STATEMENT
Following the resignation of Mr James Cherry from the Board of Onchan District Commissioners, the following statements have been issued:-
James Cherry commented as follows:-
“It has been a great honour to serve the people of Onchan and would like to thank all the staff who have worked incredibly hard over recent times. Their work and effort is testament to their commitment to the Authority.
However, it is with great sadness that due to personal reasons the time has come for me to step down.”
The Chairman stated:
“It is with much regret that Mr Cherry has decided this course of action which he feels compelled to take. I wish to place on record my thanks and the thanks from the Board of Onchan District Commissioners for all his hard work and his commitment as lead Member for Properties and Amenities over the last 3 years. I am sure this is not Mr Cherry’s last involvement in the political field, and look forward to support him in his future endeavours.”
