The staff of Onchan District Commissioners are assisting the Department of Infrastructure with salting the pavements within the village and prioritising access to our elderly persons complexes.
We are also receiving a number of phone calls with regard to gritting of roads. We have to advise that this is the responsibility of the Department of Infrastructure's Highway Services. Their priority is given to roads that carry the heaviest traffic, as well as key bus routes and roads to hospitals, fire stations and schools.
