Local Elections Act 1986, Section 15(2)(b)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that ONE casual vacancy has arisen in the Office of Commissioners for the Local Government District of Onchan.
An election to fill the vacancy will be held as soon as practicable after notice in writing has been given to the Chief Executive/Clerk of Onchan District Commissioners by 2 Local Government electors for the Local Government District of Onchan requesting that an election be held.
Where it has not been reasonably practicable to hold an election to fill a casual vacancy 6 months before the day on which the member whose office is vacant would have retired on the 1st May 2021 an election shall not be held and the vacancy shall be filled at the next Ordinary Election.
