At the meeting of the Board of Onchan District Commissioners Members held a one minutes silence as a mark of respect following the death of Mr Frederick Griffin, former Commissioner and Chairman of the Board in the Municipal Year 1992/93. The Chairman remarked that Mr Griffin was part of a group of Commissioners who laid the foundations for going forward, and Onchan had a lot be thankful for. The Chairman further extended the condolences of the Board to Mr Griffin's wife and wider family, and requested that a formal letter extending the sympathies of the Board be sent to Mrs Griffin.
