Remembrance Sunday 12th November 2017

9.20 a.m. The Church Service is preceded by a parade to the Church, which starts from behind the premises of the Manx Co-Op, and those taking part usually gather there at 9.20 a.m.


9.30 a.m. Parade forms up. The Chairman of the Royal British Legion – Onchan Branch, Captain of the Parish, and Chairman of Onchan District Commissioners take their positions in front of the War Memorial to take the salute as the parade passes in front of the War Memorial.

9.35 a.m. The parade processes from the rear of the Manx Co-Op on Elm Tree Road to St Peter's Church.

9.45 a.m. Church Service – St Peter's Church.


10.35 a.m. Leave St Peter's Church and walk to the War Memorial for a short service and wreath laying ceremony.

10.45 a.m. War Memorial
• The names will be read out
• The last post will be played.

11.00 a.m. 2 minutes silence – Maroons will be fired from the Rec to mark the silence.

• Laying of wreaths.

• Reveille will be played.

Refreshments will be served at Onchan Methodist Church.
