Captain of the Parish of Onchan, Mr Peter Kelly MBE, has received a petition signed by twelve residents of Onchan requesting that a requisition meeting be held in connection with the fortcoming election.
This will take place at ELIM FAMILY CENTRE, SECOND AVENUE, ONCHAN on TUESDAY 20TH JULY at 7.30 PM. Doors open at 7pm.
The request is for the opportunity to hear the views and policies of the candidates standing in the election and to question them on that basis. Recent ‘happenings’ within the commissioners’ offices are not for discussion and outside the remit of the meeting. The meeting will be chaired by the Captain of the Parish
Please note: Requisition meetings are special meetings which can be formally requested in writing by a body of electors (12 signatures) in a parish and delivered to the Captain of the Parish. The Captain of the parish will then make arrangements for such special meeting and will usually chair the meeting.
