There may be a number of reasons why your bin may not have been emptied. Common reasons include it containing waste that would be rejected at the Energy from Waste Plant, or that it was not at the edge of your property.

To avoid any accidental damage to your property or possessions, the Authority will not enter onto your property to collect a bin. If you have to leave your bin on a public footpath for any reason, please make sure that it is removed back inside your property boundary as soon as possible after collection.
To protect the Authority's staff from incurring injuries relating to broken glass, needles, and contamination. If you need to dispose of extra waste, please consider using the recycling bins location around the District, utilise the Eastern Civic Amenity Site, or consider contacting the Authority to arrange a larger capacity or additional domestic refuse bin.

The Authority provides an on‑request assisted domestic refuse collection service for residents who are not physically able to place their bin at the curtilage of their property.
